At Super Open College, the Faculty of Theology and Leadership equips Christian leaders with the knowledge, skills, and spiritual formation needed to excel in ministry, church leadership, and marketplace influence. Our programmes combine theological depth, practical ministry training, and ethical leadership to prepare graduates for impactful service in churches, faith-based organizations, and society.

Whether you are pursuing a Certificate, Diploma, B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D., you will benefit from a curriculum built around real ministry practice.

Certificate — 3 months Diploma — 6 months B.Sc. — 12 months M.Sc. — 12–18 months Ph.D. — 3–4 years

Biblical Theology & Exegesis

Affiliation & International Certification

This programme is affiliated with Friedman Leadership University, and students can earn their Friedman Leadership University certificate upon successful completion — an internationally recognized credential alongside your Super Open College qualification.

Admission Requirements

Requirements vary by programme level

B.Sc. / Diploma Programmes Undergraduate

  • Five (5) credit passes at SSCE, NECO, or GCE, including English Language
  • A strong interest in theology, ministry, and leadership development
  • For Diploma applicants: prior ministry experience is an advantage

M.Sc. Programme Postgraduate

  • A B.Sc. degree in Theology, Leadership, or a related discipline from any institution
  • Demonstrated competence in leadership, ministry practice, and academic research
  • Personal statement outlining career objectives and ministry aspirations

Ph.D. Programme Doctoral

  • An M.Sc. degree in Theology, Leadership, or a closely related field
  • Proven ability to conduct independent research
  • A detailed research proposal aligned with the Faculty's focus areas
  • Letters of recommendation from academic or ministry supervisors

Additional Notes

  • All applicants are subject to a screening interview (online or in-person)
  • International students must provide equivalent academic credentials verified by their home country's education authorities
  • Mature candidates with relevant ministry experience may be considered under a special admission policy

  • Be actively involved in ministry (full-time or part-time)
  • Provide proof of inability to pay full tuition
  • Submit a formal scholarship application letter
  • Provide valid identification
  • Provide one reference who can confirm ministry status and financial situation
